Flourish Project Plant & Tree Giveaway
The Earth & Spirit Center’s FlourishProject and environmental justice and deep ecology interns will be giving away over 100 trees and over 100 native plants (along with Heine Brothers coffee for the first 50 people) on Saturday, March 26th, 10am-1pm, at Iroquois Public Library (601 W Woodlawn Ave.)!
The Flourish Project is a youth-led initiative to give away trees and native plants in South Louisville. We believe in the power of urban gardening to advance environmental justice, and so, we are giving away 75 white oak, 75 dogwood, 25 swamp milkweed plugs, 25 new england aster plugs, 25 gray-headed coneflower plugs, 25 swamp hibiscus, and a couple hundred pawpaw saplings.
They will also have kale, lettuce, and chard plants to help you get your garden started!
There are no restrictions on who can benefit, but they are targeting neighborhoods in South and Southwest Louisville.
