What are some of the best activities for outdoor enthusiasts?
There are so many activities in Louisville’s Southend for those who love the outdoors. Enjoy scenic hiking trails at Iroquois Park, Jefferson Memorial Forest, and Waverly Park. In addition to hiking, camping is also available at Jefferson Memorial Forest with an advance reservation. Reserve a campsite here, or by calling the Welcome Center, 502-368-5404. The best mountain biking course in Louisville is at Waverly Park. You can fish at both Waverly Park and Jefferson Memorial Forest. Horses can be ridden at Iroquois Park and Jefferson Memorial Forest. Bicycle trails are available at Iroquois Park, Jefferson Memorial Forest, Waverly Park, and Riverside Park. There are pickleball courts at Iroquois Park, Riverside Park and Wyandotte Park. If golfing is your sport, enjoy the courses at Iroquois Park, Bobby Nichols, and Sun Valley.
Are there public pools in the area?
Yes, the public can use the Fairdale pool, Wyandotte pool and Sun Valley pool.
Where can I find live entertainment?
Enjoy live entertainment throughout the spring, summer and fall at Iroquois Amphitheater, Colonial Gardens, and Riverside Park.
